The clip shows a type of mushroom/algae that grows in the forests and mountains of Norway. In the clip the plant has dried because of the sun, and therefore creates a very satisfying sound when stepped on or crushed. This specific plant is called “reinlav” in Norwegian, since this type is mostly eaten by reindeer. There are also other types of reinlav, not shown in this clip.
